The Silent  Flute

Before Bruce Lee died, he traveled to India to find location to film Silent  Flute, co written with James Colburn and Stirling Silliphant.  But no locations were found and also tempers were not kept in place in the long hot drive in India.  This film was supposed to present Bruce Lee’s philosophy.

James Colburn was to star with Lee. It would have been great to see James Colburn with Bruce Lee. However, Bruce died and the film was not made. However, the film was created with David Carradine in the role of Bruce Lee.  It would be nice to have access to the original script. I’m not sure Bruce would have liked David Carradine to play the role he would play. Ironic!

Bruce’s son would play David Carradine’s son in the tv reboot of Kung Fu. Strange.
